Did you know that the average person is said to have up to 60,000 thoughts per day, with 95% being the same repetitive thoughts as the day before? What’s alarming is that 80% of these thoughts are said to be negative. (National Science Foundation, 2005) Thoughts. Emotions. Consciousness. Thoughts are the language of the mind. Our thoughts influence our emotions. Emotions are the language of the body. An emotion is said to be energy in motion. Emotions lead to states of being in consciousness.
A Map of Consciousness
Dr. David R. Hawkins, MD, PhD developed a “map" of the levels of human consciousness (aka the Scale of Consciousness) that uses a muscle-testing technique called Applied Kinesiology. The research was scientifically-validated in Dr. Hawkins’ book, Power vs. Force: The Anatomy of Consciousness (Veritas Publishing, 1995). The numbers on the scale represent logarithmic calibrations (measurable vibratory frequencies on a scale which increases to the tenth power) of levels of human consciousness. The numbers themselves are arbitrary, but the significance lies in the relationship of one number (or level) to another. Most of us vibrate at less than 250 on the scale. Throughout our lives we form negative conditioning and thought patterns that hold us back from high vibrational states. The level we should aim for is “love” at 500 and above. It is important to be aware of our thoughts, elevated emotions, and the resulting vibrations creating our reality every day, whether it be our health, wealth or general state of being. It’s possible to move up and down this scale, but what is your resting state? What does a typical day feel like to you? What are you emanating and attracting into your life?
